Shock As MMM Participant Commits Suicide In Enugu -See Why

Shock As MMM Participant Commits Suicide In Enugu -See Why
The Authorities at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, have confirmed the death of a final year student who reportedly committed suicide.

A final year student of agricultural engineering at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, who is also reported to be a participant of the Mavrodi Mondial Movement investment scheme (MMM), has committed suicide.

Premium Times reports the student, identified as Tobechukwu Okeke was found on Sunday morning, November 27, dangling from a rope in his room at Odenigwe, a community in Nsukka, Enugu state.

The deceased was said to have left a note behind where he apologised to his family, according to accounts by a neighbor close to the family.

The contents of the note read:
Mother, Father, brother, I’m sorry. Ify, may your children never suffer. Uncle Mathias, you gave me all. I am sorry. Death calls. Linguistic department, I am sorry. Okeke Tobechukwu S. 2012/185649,”
The neighbor, who did not want to be named, quoted. Though the cause of Mr. Okeke’s death is yet to be ascertained, some of his neighbours suggested that he was in debt, some said he was tired of schooling, others attributed his suicide to the loss of money in a network business he invested into.

The deceased’s last Facebook posts showed he had been involved in the controversial MMM scheme as he used his account to advertise the scheme.

His last post, in September, read:
“MMM is enriching lives of millions of Nigerians everyday. If you care to join or you have any questions please send me a message or comment below.”
One of the deceased’s colleagues, who also did not want to be named, said he was given an electrical wiring job to do at the department of linguistics in the university, because of his expertise in electrical works.
I saw him this (Sunday) morning, he seemed to have a problem which he needed money to solve,” the colleague added.
The university authorities have also confirmed the incident, but said the family had not officially informed the institution.

Uju Umo, the university’s dean of student affairs said;
“I travelled for a burial last weekend and yesterday I got a text message saying a student had committed suicide.”
“It happened at Odenigwe, one of the host communities outside the school and I was told he left a suicide note apologizing to his fellow gamblers.”
Similarly, Chukwu Emmanuel, the university’s student union president, also confirmed the incident, and said the matter was being investigated.
“There’s no concrete details for now,” he added.
People close to the deceased described him as a comedian who always used jokes to awake sleeping students during night classes.
“He used to go around to classes at night to crack jokes and encourage students to forget their worries and focus,” a friend told Premium Times.

Huawei P8 review

The latest model of the premium family Huawei P8 features more practical case materials, a more powerful hardware platform, an increased memory capacity, a redesigned communication part, and a new photo module manufactured by Sony.

Huawei P8 review-bnaija
Design

After experimenting with glass case in P7, the company decided to go back to the classics: P8 is made in the form of a classical metal monolith.

The front panel is unencumbered by any functions. Sensors, the speaker, and the camera are grouped in one place, and the light indicator is hidden under the glass in the upper right corner.

Huawei P8 review-bnaija

Screen

P8 got IPS display with the resolution of FullHD, 5,2 ", 1920 × 1080 resolution, 424 ppi.

If the image seems too cold-colored, it is possible to adjust the color temperature.

The smartphone’s screen shows a nice natural picture. The brightness adjustment range is comfortable to the eye, the extreme values are sufficient both for the darkness and the bright sun, the viewing angles are maximal.
 Huawei P8 review-bnaija

Hardware platform

The smartphone is built on the company’s own platform, HiSilicon Kirin 930, comprising two blocks of four cores Cortex-A53, working at frequencies up to 2 GHz and 1.5 respectively with video accelerator Mali-T624.

It has 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal memory (approximately 11 GB available), and a hybrid slot for microSD memory card, or nano SIM. It supports microSD with the capacity of up to 128 GB.

In everyday use the smartphone runs fast, the smoothness of animation and the speed of running programs are perfect. It also has no problems with advanced games as well. Wi-Fi and GPS are working fine.

The smartphone’s speaker plays loudly and clearly during incoming calls. The speakerphone allows recognizing the voices of the people you speak to; the volume is more than sufficient.

 Huawei P8 review-bnaija

Cams

The smartphone has the main camera with a resolution of 13 megapixels, Aperture f/2.0, optical stabilization, dual flash, four-color RGBW-sensor and an isolated image processing chip.

We can just say at once that the main camera makes good pictures and can compete with LG G4, iPhone 6 and Galaxy S6. Most of the pictures taken in automatic mode have the correct balance of white and are sharp. The processing algorithms do well in all kinds of light conditions, from the bright sunlight to dim artificial lighting and shooting as well night shooting.

 Huawei P8 review-bnaija

Battery life

If you use your smartphone as your main device during a week and a half, establish the core set of programs and use the camera periodically, talk just a little bit, listen to music – your P8 will serve you from morning until late at night in this mode, sometimes even a full day.

See How Zimbabwe's Prostitutes are Raping Guys - Pictures

Prostitutes now team up with other male counterparts to drag clients into their rooms forcing them into s*x in order to makeup for the hard times.

See How Zimbabwe's Prostitutes are Raping Guys - Pictures

The syndicate will be roaming the area and once they pounce on their prey, the hookers offer very affordable prices before they take you to their room where they search you and force you to have s*x with them for the money they would have taken.

H-Metro spoke to one of the victims who refused to identify himself and he narrated his ordeal after
falling prey to three hookers.
“I am a student and I was walking along Samora Machel where three hookers pounced on me and offered me s*x for US$2 of which I refused.“They insisted but I said I would give them the US$2 they wanted so that they will let me free but before I could say anything more, two more men appeared and helped the ladies to drag me to a room upstairs at a local hotel.”
The victim said, whilst in the room, he refused to have sex but the ladies wouldn’t take any of his words.
“One of the ladies undressed and lied on the bed naked and offered me sex. I was cornered and I had to ask for a condom which they gave me and I had sex with her while other two were looking.”“Whilst I was contemplating my next move, the other one requested to have sex with me as well and I turned down the offer before she called the two men who were outside.“As soon they entered there was confusion in the room and they searched me of all my valuables.”He added:“After the noise, the ladies shared the money and ordered me to leave the room while they remained behind with the two men.“I had to plead for a dollar to use for transport home.”
However, the incident is not the first but several men have failed to open up on such incidents where they have been pounced on by hookers.

Instead of reporting they are ashamed of making reports on such cases thereby giving them a gratitude to continue.
“It’s hard to report kuti wabatwa nemahure, unozvitaura uchiti kudii, zvinomakisa.“If you fell prey to such better kungoita easy unless watobirwa mari yakawanda,” said another man.
Meanwhile, H-Metro reports they hung around the area where some hookers paraded their ‘thighs’ and witnessed the same scenario.

The hookers will be standing as individuals but as they negotiate their colleagues approach.
“I have seen men falling victims to hookers who just mob you and force you into their rooms where they can extort you.“One may assume people are in agreement but it won’t be that,” said one vendor who operates along central Avenue.

See The Moment Suspected Cultists Disagree Over Gun Ownership

See The Moment Suspected Cultists Disagree Over Gun Ownership

A drama played out at the Abia State Police Command headquarters in Umuahia when some suspected cultists accused one another of owning a gun.

The suspects, four in number, literally divided themselves into two groups, with each group insisting that the gun in question belonged to the other team.

The suspects were two kinsmen, Okoye Simon and Charles Okeke, who are from Anambra State and other were roommates, Udu John and Aigbemen Eromoselem, all students of a private polytechnic in Aba, Abia State.

Simon claimed John handed over his bag to him, saying, “The day we were writing our final examination in school, John gave me his bag to hold for him. Okeke who saw him give me the bag, rushed in immediately and persuaded me to open the bag to be sure of its content; but I said I would not open the bag.
“He asked me to report to the security officers that the bag belonged to John because he was suspecting something. When we went to the security man in front of the examination hall, he touched the bag and asked me to follow him to the security post.
“When we got there, they asked me who owned the bag and I said it was John that gave me the bag when he was entering into the hall. When the security sent for him, he came to their office and confessed that he was the owner of the bag and that he gave it to me to hold for him. But when the school security wanted to call the police, he urged me to say that I saw the bag on the floor outside the examination hall.”
It was gathered that John, thereafter, insisted that he did not give his bag to Simon and that he kept it in front of the hall before going in for his examination.

He alleged that Okeke had been threatening to deal with him because of unresolved differences between them since their first year.

John said,
“I kept my bag where the school authority asked us to be keeping our bags before entering the examination hall.
I did not give it to anybody to hold for me and I don’t know anything about the gun inside the bag. It is Okeke and Simon that were found with the bag and the gun inside it.
“If you ask me, I will say Okeke may be the owner of the gun, he wanted to deal with me; he had stabbed me before in our ND1, I’m not denying any other thing in the bag, except the gun.”
A police source told Southern City News that items recovered from the bag included one locally-made double-barrelled gun with two live cartridges, a sticker of the Black Axe cult group and charms.

Presidency Kicks Off Job Scheme For 500K Unemployed Graduates

Read statement by the Senior Special Assistant on Media & Publicity for the Vice President Laolu Akande below;

All is now set for the deployment of 200,000 unemployed graduates selected in the first batch of the Buhari administration’s plan to hire half a million Nigerians.

While the 200,000 have been selected about two weeks ago, their names have now been sent to state governments and the FCT who would deploy them to their specific program assignments. The names would also be published this week on the N-Power internet portal, while the participants would start receiving SMS messages informing them of their selection as from Monday, November 21, 2016.

State governments and the FCT are also encouraged to post the names of the successful first batch applicants in their local government areas while there would be further public announcements.

Between now and the end of the month, the states and the FCT would be engaged in deploying the graduates who would formally start working and earning their stipends on December 1, 2016.

Of the 200,000 first batch, 150,000 of them would teach, 30,000 would work in the Agric sector and 20,000 in Healthcare delivery covering the three specific program assignments.

The N-Power Volunteer Corps is an expression of President Muhammadu Buhari’s commitment to invest in the human capital development of Nigerian citizens, particularly our young people. The N-Power programmes is also an innovative means to enhance ailing public services in the area of basic education and primary healthcare. Also in the Agric sector, it is aimed at achieving self-sufficiency by giving our farmers relevant advisory services.

The Federal Government of Nigeria at this moment congratulates all 200,000 successful applicants in the first batch, and they are encouraged to take this opportunity seriously by learning the skills that will brighten their future. They are also implored to serve their communities with commitment and dedication.

For those who have not been selected at this time, there is a waiting list based on the total number of applicants, and subsequent batches will absorb more of the qualified applicants.

Altogether, the N-Power will engage and train 500,000 young unemployed graduates. It is a paid volunteering program of a 2-year duration that engages graduates in their immediate communities, where they will assist in improving the inadequacies in the education, health, and agriculture sectors.

The 500,000 graduates under the N-Power Corps program will be trained in skills that will enable them exit after two years to the economically viable job and business opportunities.

As part of the program, the participants would own tablets that will contain information necessary for their specific engagements, as well as information for their continuous training and developments.

Participants will be provided teaching, instructional, and advisory solutions in 4 main focus areas, and will be paid a monthly stipend of N30,000 during the program. The 4 main focus areas are in basic education, agriculture extension services, public health and community education (civic and adult education).

Besides the N-Power program for undergraduates, there are other schemes for non-graduates. These are: N-Power Knowledge, which would select 25,000 young Nigerians and N-Power Build 75,000, all of whom shall be trained and paid during the duration of the scheme.

Governor Obiano Can’t Ban Me From Anambra – Peter Obi

A former Governor of Anambra State, Mr. Peter Obi, has said that his successor, Chief Willie Obiano, has no legal right to bar him from visiting the state or airing his opinion about the state.

Governor Obiano Can’t Ban Me From Anambra – Peter Obi

Obi, who spoke at Oraifite during the burial of Chief Emeka Offor’s father, Benneth Offor, described an alleged threat by Obiano to unleash an attack on him if he did not behave himself, as an empty one.

A media aide to Obiano, Mr. Oliver Okpala, was reported to have threatened to deal with Obi and a former Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Oseloka Obaze, over their comments on Obiano, which were considered to be unwarranted.

The governor’s aide said,
“To this end, this is a notice that, henceforth, any further unwarranted attack on the governor will be met with a very tough response.
“Let it be noted that we have done our investigations, and we know that those sponsoring these unfounded attacks against the governor include those who have tasted power before, either as governor or secretary to the state government.
“We have their records, to the minutest of details, and we will not hesitate to unleash a higher degree of attack on their persons with verifiable proofs in our possession so that the world would know the dirty stuff they are made of.”
Obi, in his reaction, said it would be disastrous if Anambra degenerated into a dictatorial society under a democracy.

On what he would do should Obiano carry out his threat, Obi said the state should be advancing in civilisation by upholding the tenets of democracy and decency, rather than going back to the Hobbesian era. He said,
“Such an order will amount to asking me to go on exile. I have a house in Onitsha and live there.
“I served Anambra State for eight years. As the governor, I kept saying I would live in the state for the rest of my life to enable me share the joy and grief of the people. Why would somebody say I should not attend events in the state?
“Why would somebody request that I should stop saying what I did as the Governor of Anambra State, when people are still talking about the good deeds of the likes of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe and Chief M.I. Okpara?
“Most of the things said are not for self-adulation, but to use my experience to demonstrate to our people that we can do certain things we thought are impossible, an example was that I returned schools to the church and provided them with over 30,000 computers, generators and Internet connectivity.
“The fact is that under our government, we cleared arrears of pension of over N35bn, paid for all the certificates generated by contractors without borrowing a kobo, but instead left money, including dollars for the state.”

The Price Of Rice Finally Crashes Drastically – See New Price Will Shock You

This should be a great relief for Nigerians after reports confirmed that the price of local rice in the country has crashed in some states across the federation. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) quotes the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as saying the agricultural initiative ‘Anchor Borrowers Programme’ which the federal government launched recently, is responsible for the drastic change in prices.

The Price Of Rice Finally Crashes Drastically – See New Price Will Shock You

Making this remark on Saturday, November 19 in Imo State was Mrs. Nkechi Osuji, the head of CBN’s development financing department at a sensitization workshop attended by local government representatives of smallholder farmers, cooperative societies, youths and women groups drawn from the 27 local government areas of Imo.

According to her, a 50kg bag of local rice can now be bought for N13,000 in states where the scheme has been embraced. She also added that the more the states that join, the cheaper the products in the market. The CBN representative also encouraged participants to take the program seriously as it has the potential of providing over one thousand jobs for unemployed youths and graduates.

STRANGE HEALTH TIPS YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE BUT IS TRUE

For sound teeth, don't brush in the wake of eating

In Nigeria, it is normally said brush immediately after eating, but try not to brush your teeth instantly after suppers and beverages, particularly in the event that they were acidic. Acidic sustenances—citrus organic products, sports drinks, tomatoes, pop (both eating regimen and consistent) — can mellow tooth finish "like wet sandstone,"  Brushing your teeth at this stage can accelerate corrosive's impact on your lacquer and disintegrate the layer underneath. Bet proposes holding up 30 to an hour prior to brushing.

To eat less, eat more

Getting a 100-calorie nibble pack of treats or pretzels may appear to be upright, yet it will probably make you hungrier than if you ate something more generous, Eating little measures of starches does only spike your glucose and abandon you needing more carbs."  picking a protein, for example, nutty spread or string cheddar with an apple. "They are higher in calories per serving, yet the protein, fat and help you get full speedier and remain full more—and you wind up eating fewer calories in general,"

Skip Energy drinks when you're drained (TIRED)

Energy drinks contain up to five times more caffeine than espresso, yet the help they give is short lived and accompanies repulsive reactions like anxiety, peevishness, and quick pulse,  In addition, energy drinks regularly contain elevated amounts of taurine, a focal sensory system stimulant, and upwards of 50 grams of sugar for each can (that is 13 teaspoons worth!). The sweet stuff spikes glucose incidentally, just to crash before long, abandoning you drowsy and foggyheaded—and going after another energy drink

Practice when you're drained

After a long, depleting workday, practicing sounds like the exact opposite thing you'd need to do, yet getting your sweat on will really invigorate you. Weakness alongside disposition and wretchedness enhanced following a solitary 30-minute direct power practice session, as indicated by a study distributed in Medicine and Science in Sports and Exercise. "All that we do utilize oxygen, so when you practice it helps you work all the more productively and you don't tire as effortlessly,"  "You likewise work better rationally."

Dump antibacterial cleanser to counteract sickness

Going after the cleanser bottle marked "antibacterial" won't really decrease your danger of becoming ill or passing disease to others—indeed, there is no proof that antibacterial cleansers are more viable than normal ones. Besides, term introduction to a few fixings in these items, for example, triclosan, may posture wellbeing dangers like bacterial resistance or hormonal impacts, as indicated by a 2013 FDA articulation. More research on the impacts of triclosan is required, and meanwhile, the FDA is moving in the direction of obliging makers to demonstrate their items are ok for long-term to utilize—and the condition of Minnesota has banned triclosan-containing items through and through, which goes into full impact in 2017.
