Thousands of visitors are flocking to see the remains of a sperm whale which became stranded on the beach. The 45ft male sperm whale died on Thursday after washing up on the beach, with rescuers keeping it comfortable. Scientists took samples from the whale yesterday in a bid to discover why it had become stranded.
