Kogi: Faleke Picks Late Audu's Son As His Deputy

APC Deputy Governorship candidate in the Kogi state November 21st governorship election, James Abiodun Faleke says he's picked late Audu Abubakar's son, Mohammed to be his deputy governor once he is declared governor by INEC. Faleke said this while speaking to some of his supporters who had gathered at the home of Late Prince Audu in Kogi this morning. He is pictured above with Abubakar Audu's son, Mohammed.

Faleke is calling for the cancellation of the supplementary election which is being planned by INEC this Saturday December 5th. INEC had declared the November 21st inconclusive and ordered a supplementary election by December 5th. This has caused a division in APC as the party has refused to field Faleke as its candidate for the supplementary election.

21-Year-Old Stabs Landlord To Death In Lagos

Some hoodlums started a street fight on Olorogun Street, Odo Eran, in the Itire area of Lagos State on Tuesday, during which a 21-year-old stabbed a landlord, identified as Alawu Lateef, to death.

Punch Metro learnt that Lateef, who was a father of three, had intervened in the fight, and asked the hoodlums to leave the area, when one of them, identified as Lati Elepo, stabbed the landlord.

It was gathered that the father of three slumped, while residents arrested Elepo before he could escape with the other hoodlums. The matter was said to have been reported at the Itire Police Division.

A Punch correspondent learnt that the hoodlums, numbering six boys, had come from Osindero Street to meet one Balogun, who they claimed owed them about N30,000. It was learnt that when the hoodlums did not meet Balogun at home, they started to make trouble on the street.

The landlord, Lateef, who worked as a panel beater, was said to have asked Elepo to leave the area with his gang members. The hoodlum, however, stabbed him in the chest.

Friends and family members rushed the landlord to a private hospital in the area, from where he was referred to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, Idi Araba, where he was confirmed dead. His corpse was afterwards brought to the Itire division.

When Punch Metro visited the area, one of his neighbours, who identified himself simply as Rashidi, said Lateef did not have any business with the miscreants, but only tried to pacify them when Elepo stabbed him on the chest.

Rashidi added that Elepo and two other suspects were arrested by the police.

He said, “It was at about 11am when these boys from Osindero stormed our street. They are teenagers. They are not cultists. They said Balogun owed them N30,000 which they must collect from him.

“Lateef did not want such commotion on the street. So, he came out to caution them to take things calmly. The one who stabbed him was drunk.

“While Lateef spoke with them, the suspect went to a shop of an artisan who sharpens knives and other metals, grabbed about three knives and stabbed Lateef on the chest. Resident arrested him and dragged him to the police station while other hoodlums ran away.”

The landlord’s wife was said to be too distraught to talk with PUNCH Metro as of the time of visit.

Policemen visited the street in the evening and raided other suspected hoodlums lurking in the area.

Indiana Man Who Stole Human Brains From Museum Jailed

A 23-year-old Indiana man has pleaded guilty to breaking into a medical museum and stealing preserved human brains and other tissue that he then sold online, authorities said.

David Charles, of Indianapolis, pleaded guilty to six charges including receiving stolen property, and burglary in a Marion County court where Magistrate Amy Barbar sentenced him to one year of home detention and two years of probation.

Charles on multiple occasions broke into the Indiana Medical History Museum to steal jars of brains and other human tissue, according to Marion County prosecutor's office.

The museum is a former hospital for the insane founded in 1848 and later converted into a museum with an autopsy room and anatomical museum that displays preserved specimens, mostly brains, organized by pathology.

Charles was arrested after a San Diego man who bought six jars of brain material for $600 on eBay alerted police. Many of the items Charles sold were recovered when the San Diego man matched the items he bought to those stolen from the museum based on research he did online, according to court documents.

Investigators were able to identify Charles partly because he left behind in the museum a piece of paper with his bloody fingerprint on it.

Photo: Facebook Hacker Nabbed In Rivers After Successfully Duping 5 Influential Nigerians

A 36-year-old cosmetic seller, Daniel Obasi, who also is a serial facebook account hacker after he posed as the Deputy governor of two states in the South West. Before the long hands of the law caught up with him, five influential Nigerians had fallen prey to his cock and bull stories and were handsomely duped.

Vanguard gathered that Obasi who hails from Imo State and resides in Port Harcourt, River State hacked into the Facebook accounts of the Ondo and Lagos state deputy governors Alhaji Lasisi Oluboyo and Alhaja Oluranti Idiat Adebule respectively and made good money from their unsuspecting friends and acquaintances.

The suspect who was paraded alongside other criminals at the state police headquarters confirmed to Vanguard during an interview that he specialises in hacking to the face book account of prominent Nigerians in a bid to dupe their unsuspecting friends.

Obasi said frustration drove him into the illicit business after his cosmetics business nosedived due to paucity of funds and in a bid to survive he ventured into the Internet business. According to him, he succeeded in hacking into the account of the two deputy governors and was working on another deputy governor’s facebook account when detectives traced him to his residence in River state where he was arrested and subsequently detained.

Speaking on his arrest, Obasi who did not deny the crime said frustration forced him into a life of cyber crime. He said he resorted to using the Facebook accounts of the notable personalities because he was sure his victims will easily fall for his tricks.

“I am Daniel from Imo State but live in Port Harcourt. I opened a separate account of Deputy Governors and I used it to chat with people on the net. I did not hack into their accounts; I only opened new accounts on their behalf.   I use it to communicate with people. I have never hacked into their accounts.

“I was doing cosmetic business before. But when my money was stolen inside my shop and there was no money to re-stock my shop, I have no choice than to look for a way to survive that was why I went into cyber crime. I have not been long in this business. I have only clone accounts of Ondo and Lagos States Deputy Governors and they have blocked the accounts now,” he explained.

But Police sources said Obasi did not only clone accounts but would hack into the accounts of the deputy governors using a particular software. The police said large sums of money were paid into his bank accounts. Vanguard gathered from Police detectives that Obasi has been using the cloned accounts to chat with friends, siblings and political associates of the Deputy Governors telling them of contracts to be given out by their state governments.

“According to him, he would usually ask the unsuspecting friends of his victim to pay money into a specific account to help them facilitate contracts in the offices of the two Deputy governors. Obasi said that he was arrested by detectives from the state command, who pretended to be interested in a contract to be awarded from the office of the deputy governor.

“The detectives presented themselves as representatives of a tailors’ union and they said they are interested in a contract that would soon be awarded by the office of the Deputy governor of Ondo state. “ They however insisted that they want to pay directly into my account to help facilitate the contract. I did not know that they are police detectives that was how I was arrested “

42-Year-Old Man Abducts 11-Year-Old Girls, Raped And Turned Them Into S3x Slaves For 4-Years

The Cross River State Police Command have arrested one a 42-year-old, herbalist, Emmanuel Akpan-Okon on Thursday, for stealing two minor girls and turning them into his sex slaves for four years.

The minors, Esther Wisdom and Felicia Destiny, both aged 11, said in the four years that they were held hostage, the herbalist raped them almost every day.

Akpan-Okon was arrested by the police following a tip-off that he specialised in the preparation of charms for armed robbers.

The state Commissioner of Police, Mr. Henry Fadairo, said the rescued kids were abducted from their parents separately from Onitsha, Anambra State, and Auchi, Edo State.

He said, “On November 16, 2015, we raided one Emmanuel Akpan’s home in Akamkpa, in the Akamkpa Local Government Area of Cross River State, based on a tip-off. We gathered he was into the preparation of charms for armed robbers and treatment of criminals with bullet wounds.

“During the raid, we saw two little girls in his house. One is Esther Wisdom and the other, Felicia Destiny. They are both 11 years. On enquiry, we found out that they were abducted four years ago. Wisdom was stolen from Onitsha while Destiny was stolen from Auchi.

“We are making efforts to see how we can locate their parents. The victims claimed that he had been having regular sex with them.”

Destiny said she was in primary four when she was abducted, adding that the herbalist had raped her many times.

She said, “I was in primary four when he took me away from my home. I remember that my mother lost her sister and when she was going for the burial, she told the man, who was a commercial motorcycle rider, to bring me to her village. That was how I found myself living with him. I used to tell him that I did not like sex, but he continued.”

Also, Wisdom said, “He has been having sex with us regularly. He gives us food to eat and promises that one day he will take us back to our mothers.”

Akpan-Okon, who is from Akwa Ibom State, said he abducted the girls because their mothers could not cater for them.

He said, “While staying in the same compound with Wisdom’s mother at Onitsha, I observed that she had problems bringing up her nine children. This girl, Wisdom, was always with me when I was staying in their compound. So, when I wanted to leave Onitsha, I took her with me without telling her mother.

“When I left Onitsha with her, I went to Auchi, and was riding a commercial motorcycle as a means of livelihood. Where I stayed in Auchi, Destiny was always coming to play with Esther. I also noticed that Destiny’s mother had many children. So, when I wanted to leave the town, I took her along.

“I had sex with them and I know it is bad in the sight of God. I have a girl child who is with the mother. I will not be happy if she is treated this way.”

Female NYSC Member Almost Killed By Her Boyfriend Because She Was Cheating

A batch ‘B’ corps member, Jeremiah Osewe, at the Issele-Uku Orientation Camp in Delta State, was said to have almost choked his girlfriend, Stella Omorodin, to death over a rival corps member.

I hear the incident happened in camp on Monday. Stella Omorodion, before coming to the orientation camp, had a serious boyfriend but refused to disclose this fact to her "rich" boyfriend.

The bubble burst when Stella’s main boyfriend was redeployed from Zamfara State to Delta State, and after making enquiries he discovered that his girlfriend, Stella, was in the camp at Issele-Uku.

Jeremiah met Stella and they continued their love affair. But she wanted to be sleeping with both guys. Not long after, Stella and her main boyfriend were sighted at the popular Mammy Market in the community by the enraged "rich" lover who was alleged to have mobilised his friends to the scene.

On getting to the scene, it was learnt that the angry lover grabbed Stella's neck and started squeezing it till she almost died, before fellow corps members rushed to the scene to save the situation.

Reacting to the shameful development, the state coordinator of NYSC, Mrs. Esther Etukudo, said:
“We got the report of what transpired between two NYSC members and our findings revealed that it was a rival love relationship. The girl was almost strangled to death by the angry corps member who claimed to be her boyfriend after what would have been a bloodbath.

"They took the girl to the hospital for treatment and the boy was sanctioned for indiscipline."

52-year-old man named, Hassan Muhammad, who lives in Maje village on the outskirt of Suleja, Niger State, has been arrested by the State Police Command for allegedly abducting a 14-year-old boy and sodomising him for two months before he was rescued.

The Sokoto State born Muhammad, a trader and father of seven, was first arrested by members of the Suleja Emirate Vigilante operating in the area before he handed over to the Suleja Police Area Command, where he was currently being held, Daily Trust reports.

65-Year-Old Businessman Rapes Air Hostess He Met On A Dating Site After Spiking Her Glass Of Wine

65-year-old, Businessman John Campbell, (pictured above) spiked his victim's drink with ecstasy in the back garden at his Buckinghamshire home before having sex with her.

The finance director has been convicted of raping an air hostess he met on a dating site for the super-rich after drugging her glass of rosé.

The air hostess struck up a relationship Campbell after finding him on millionairematch.com but said that despite their former intimacy she found herself with memory blanks and being violently sick after the drugging.

Campbell, the boss of a loans company, told a friend he liked sex with women who had taken drugs because it 'left them screaming for more'. But he insisted that this time the sex had been consensual and his partner had instigated it.

But a jury of six men and six women disbelieved his version of events and found him guilty of rape and administering a substance with intent to overpower or allow sexual activity.

Campbell had spiked the woman's glass of wine during a meeting in his back garden on June 14 last year, Amersham Crown Court  heard.

The woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was drinking with Campbell and suddenly felt very ill after he had topped up her glass inside the house.

The jury heard the next thing the woman remembers is waking up in bed naked and realising she had been sick.
She said she could not stop clenching her teeth - a side-effect of the drug MDMA - and that her pupils were dilated.

The woman was then sick again, and managed to walk to the bathroom before collapsing and banging her face on a sink tap.

The court heard that she stayed the night at Campbell's house before heading back to her own home the next day, where she made herself sick.

Divorcee Campbell, who had previously been married for 30 years, tried to convince the air hostess that she had a bad case of food poisoning, the jury was told.
