Mr Eazi Vs Tekno – Who’s A Better Singer?
Both artists are killing it non-stop at the Moment, and they even promised to deliver more amazing singles come 2017. We can’t wait to jam new singles from these 2 young amazing singers.
Tekno had a Swell year in 2016. He shunned out series of hit singles that stole our heart. What Tekno achieved in 2016 alone is way higher than what he has achieved accumulatively since his Arrival into the Music industry many years ago.
Mr. Eazi on the other side is one of the biggest act in Africa right now, he rose to the Top, and he further convinced us that he’s here to stay. We won’t argue with anyone if they say Mr. Eazi is the most featured Artist in 2016. His Next Rated Award at the Headies just cemented him more on our Heart.
From your Understanding about the Naija Music Industry – BE Sincere;

“Come, Let Us Talk” – President Buhari Begs Niger Delta Militants
President Muhammadu Buhari has pleaded with the militants vandalizing oil installations in the Niger Delta to put down arms and negotiate with the government to put an end to the militancy in the region.
He made this known when he received residents of Abuja led by Muhammed Bello, minister of the federal capital territory (FCT) yesterday at the Presidential Villa, Abuja…
Buhari
The President, who said Nigeria and its citizens were uppermost in his mind, stating that he would continue to do all within his powers to improve their living conditions, said;
“I want you to talk to people to be patient with the government. We are always thinking about our country and we are thinking about our people.”
“God has given Nigerians a lot of preachers and resources but human and materials, we better do the same thing for our children and grandchildren.
“I assure you that the country and the people of the country are always uppermost in our minds. Our performance in the north-east, Nigerians know that this government is serious.
“For our friends in the Niger Delta area, we will persuade them that they should please sit down with us and agree to manage our resources rather than think of fighting it out.
“Nigerian Men Are Naughty, They Only Want To Press Bum Bum” – Lady Blast Nigerian Men
An angry Twitter user @Nwanyi_abagana, took to her page to blast Nigerian men over their ‘bad behavior’ of only wanting to fire down when they visit young ladies instead of it being platonic.
She wrote:
“Every time you are meeting up with a guy, you have to mention that it is purely platonic. If not they will start trying to press bum bum.
“Nigerian men. So badly behaved. I used to be embarrassed (on their behalf) to put the caveat but these days I don’t have time anymore.
“This is how I now roll. “Excuse me, if you try to touch me, I am kicking you out of my house.” Better for him to be embarrassed abeg.
“Because I don’t understand the sense of entitlement. An invite to my house is not an invitation to touch me. Nonsense behavior.
“Other men I have met don’t behave like this. But EVERY Nigerian man I have invited to my house, has tried to touch me.
“It is rape culture. And we have to start talking.
“You can’t come to my house, eat my food, drink my water, enjoy my company and refuse to get your hands off when I say no. Mbanu.
“Some will even be fighting with you like it is their right. I’ve heard things like “but I came all the way”. Don’t be foolish please.
“And yes sometimes she ended up succumbing to pressure (this happens a lot) because you just won’t let it go. Doesn’t make it right.
“If she says no the first time. Leave her alone. Simple. Don’t keep trying so she can change her mind. Let her change her mine on her own.
“Once I see traces of this type of behavior in a guy, I’m done fam. You ain’t seeing me again. Shey you’ve pressed bumbum? Be going. Nonsense”

FGN Begins James Ibori’s Extradition Process
The Federal Government has started the process of extraditing a former governor of Delta State, Mr. James Ibori, from the United Kingdom.
The Southwark Crown Court had, on April 17, 2012, sentenced Ibori to 13 years in prison after the ex-governor pleaded guilty to 10 counts of money laundering and stealing $250m from the Delta State treasury.
Ibori, a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain, was the governor of the state between 1999 and 2007.
He was, however, released on Wednesday following a court order that declined the UK government’s request for an extension of his sentence.
The UK Home Office had opposed Ibori’s release on the grounds that the process of the permanent forfeiture of his assets had yet to be completed.
According to the BBC, the UK Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, did not intend to deport Ibori to Nigeria until he handed over £18m of the “proceeds of crime” he alleged the ex-governor held.
The convicted former governor, was, however, allowed to go home on the condition that he would not travel out of the UK.
He is currently residing at his residence on Abbey Road, London, where he is under strict surveillance from where he will report to the UK Police weekly.
Impeccable sources within the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission said on Wednesday that the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), had directed the EFCC to forward the file containing the 170 charges earlier brought against Ibori in Nigeria.
The EFCC operative told punch that the Federal Government would liaise with the British government to ensure that Ibori was extradited to Nigeria.
A source in the EFCC said, “We have started the process of extradition in conjunction with the Office of the AGF. We had started extradition process years ago but stopped it since he was in prison.
“We have now reactivated the process. It is the AGF that will communicate with the British Government, which will then extradite Ibori to Nigeria. The court process will be sent to the UK Government for extradition.”
When asked why all Ibori’s London properties had not yet been forfeited to the Federal Government despite the ample time, the EFCC source explained that the British system was such that asset recovery was done post-conviction.
He added, “So, they are just starting the process and that is why he has been asked not to leave the UK but should be reporting every week.
“The British Government wanted him to remain in custody but the court said he could keep coming from home; so, he will remain in the UK for now. If he does not show up in the police station, then it will be assumed that he has absconded.”
Speaking with one of our correspondents on Thursday, the spokesman for the British High Commission in Nigeria, Mr. Joe Abuku, said the UK government would continue to assist Nigeria with the recovery of properties.
He, however, said he could not comment on the legal proceedings against Ibori.
In a terse text message to punch, the spokesman for the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, said, “His (Ibori’s) fate will be determined by the provisions of the law.”
A Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State, had, on December 17, 2009, discharged and acquitted Ibori of all 170 charges of corruption brought against him by the EFCC.
In 2010, his case was reopened by the government of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
However, all attempts to arrest the ex-governor proved abortive as the 40 policemen guarding him at his country home in Oghara, Delta State, refused to allow the EFCC to arrest him.
Hundreds of youths in Delta State also confronted the EFCC operatives and prevented them from arresting the ex-governor by blocking the roads leading to his home with logs of wood.
Ibori fled Oghara in controversial circumstances and subsequently fled the country to Dubai, compelling the anti-graft agency to declare the fleeing ex-governor wanted.
The Federal Government could not apply for Ibori’s extradition as there was no extradition treaty between the United Arab Emirates and Nigeria at the time.
However, the British Government sought Ibori’s extradition and he was deported to the UK, where he was convicted and jailed for money laundering and fraud.
However, the EFCC took the matter to the Benin Division of the Appeal Court, where a three-man panel of justices on May 15, 2014, ruled that the ex-governor, who was serving a 13-year jail term in a London prison at the time, had a case to answer.
The EFCC subsequently said in a statement in 2014 that the ex-governor would be re-arrested upon the completion of his prison sentence in the UK.
The EFCC statement read, “With this judgment, the coast is clear for Ibori to face trial in Nigeria upon the completion of his jail term in London.”
Some of the properties traced to the ex-governor include a house in Hampstead, North London, worth £2.2m; a property in Shaftesbury, Dorset, worth £311,000; a £3.2m mansion in Sandton, near Johannesburg, South Africa; a fleet of armoured Range Rovers valued at £600,000; a £120,000 Bentley Continental GT; and a Mercedes-Benz Maybach 62 bought for €407,000 cash.
Ex-Delta governor released after four years
Ibori was released from the UK prison, where he had spent four years and eight months.
A London court ruled that the Home Office had no more powers to hold the ex-governor, who had served six-and-a-half-years of his 13-year jail term.
Ibori was jailed on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, for 13 years by the Southwark Crown Court, London.
He had earlier spent 645 days in detention facilities in Dubai and the UK which were deducted from his total jail term.
The British Broadcasting Corporation reported on Wednesday that the application made by the Britain Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, that Ibori remained in the UK until he handed over £18m of “proceeds of crime”, failed.
According to the BBC, the presiding judge, Mrs. Justice May, said, “The Secretary of State appears to have taken it upon herself that Mr. Ibori does remain in this country, in apparent contradiction of the order served earlier this year to deport him.
“The position of the Secretary of State, as very candidly set out by Mr. Birdling (representing the home secretary), is that she accepts that there is an argument that she has no power to detain him.
“I have decided that the balance of convenience falls heavily in favour of his immediate release. I am not prepared to impose conditions involving tagging or curfews. You don’t hold someone just because it is convenient to do so and without plans to deport them.”
The judge, however, said the matter of Ibori’s deportation should be heard before the end of January.
Ibori is expected to face a fresh trial in the UK meant to forfeit his assets in the country to the British government.

How To Spot Fake Rice In 6 Ways This Xmas
New reports indicate that China produces fake rice which is mixed with plastic for exportation to African countries including Nigeria. China has a history of making fake food items, and the fake rice phenomenon has been there for a while.
A reputable English-language newspaper in Korea, The Korea Times, reported that “China famous for having all, making all, has now been reported to have made rice out of plastic and has distributed it.”
The ‘plastic rice’ is reportedly made by forming potatoes and sweet potatoes into regular rice grains shape, then adding industrial synthetic resins. It remains hard after cooking and can cause serious health issues.
Experts have raised the alarm of possible flooding of the Nigerian market with the ‘plastic rice.' As Christmas draws close, a lot of people will be getting bags of rice from their employers, friends, and well-wishers.
You can determine if your rice is fake by carrying out any of the simple tests below.
1. The mortar and pestle test
When molding a few grains of rice with a mortar and pestle, if the powder gives a quite white color, you are good to go, but it has a yellow discoloration, your rice must be fake.
2. The fire test
You know what plastic smells like right. So, get a lighter and burn a handful of rice. If it catches fire and smells like burnt plastic, you have fake rice.
3. The water test
Get a glass of cold water. Pour a tablespoon of raw rice in the glass and stir. If the rice goes to the bottom, it is all good. If it floats at the top, be careful because it means it contains ‘plastic rice.' Do not eat.
4. The mold test
Boil the rice. Leave it in a warm place for like 2-3 days. If mold does not appear in a few days, your rice is fake and should not be consumed. It will not get mold because plastic is not affected by the weather or temperature.
5. The boiling test
Observe the rice while boiling. If it starts forming a thick layer at the top of the pot, it is ‘plastic rice.'
6. The hot oil test
Just take some of the rice drops into some real hot oil. If it is plastic, it will melt or stick together or stick to the bottom of the pan.
Share these tips with your friends and family, so they do not end up eating ‘plastic rice.' These tests are very simple. Do not eat plastic rice, be careful.

Expose Corruption And Receive 5% Of Recovered Loot – Federal Government Tell Nigerians
The federal government has announced the policy of rewarding those who expose corruption and other financial crimes. Kemi Adeosun, minister of finance, made this known while briefing state house correspondents after the federal executive council (FEC) meeting.
Adeosun said council had approved payment of not more than five percent of the recovered sum to any one who successfully provides relevant information to anti-graft agencies.
She said this is meant to consolidate on the ongoing anti-corruption campaign of the federal government, adding that the identity of the whistleblower would be protected. She revealed that very soon, the national assembly will give attention to a bill on the policy.
“If you whistle blow in public-spirit and in good faith, you will be protected. If you feel that you have been treated badly because of your report, you can file a formal complaint,” she said
“If you have suffered harassment, intimidation or victimisation for sharing your concerns, restitution will be made for any loss suffered.”
She added that
“If you have already submitted your information, you can also check the status of your report on the portal”.
She listed the types of information to be submitted as mismanagement or misappropriation of public funds and assets financial malpractice or fraud, collecting/soliciting bribes, fraudulent and unapproved payments, splitting of contracts and procurement fraud (kickbacks and over-invoicing, etc.)
Adesoun said the whistleblowing does not apply to personal matters concerning private contracts or agreements.
She said the whistleblower could be internal stakeholders like government employees; inter-government stakeholders, institutional stakeholders and members of the public. Adesoun added that whistle-blowers choosing to remain anonymous can submit documentary evidence on the portal.
“You can also provide specific and fact based information such as what occurred, amount involved, who was involved and dates of occurrence on the portal,” she said.
She said information provide will be reviewed and analyzed to determine whether or not to open an investigation on the matter, and that if it involves a criminal case, “it will be referred to relevant agencies”.

MMM Nigeria ‘Number 1 Guider’ Reacts To Frozen Accounts News
MMM Nigeria’s number 1 guider, Chuddy Ugorji, has finally addressed the lingering issue of frozen accounts 3 days after the website made the news known.
Mr Chuddy said he woke up on Tuesday and saw the news that accounts have been frozen for a month just like every other person and that he didn’t have any prior knowledge about it. Chuddy explained that he has always encouraged members to provide help only with their SPARE MONEY and also get help at the end of 30 days.
He went on to say contrary to widespread report that he is an admin on the MMM Nigeria site, he is not. He is just a top guider. He encouraged all ‘Mavrodians’ to not panic as the ban on their monies will soon be lifted and everything will be back to normal in no time. Read his statement below.
“Goodday great mavrodians
“This week has not been easy for all of us due to the news update on our POs
“As we all know ,the media has been a tool used by anti-MMMites and pessimists to fight against the growth of MMM Nigeria. Unfortunately some ignorant Nigerians who don’t understand what MMM is all about have been brainwashed by the information broadcasted by the media and social networks
“Regarding the frozen mavro. It is clearly stated on the news section on the website. Confirmed Mavro will be frozen for A MONTH . The reason for this measure is evident. The system needs to prevent any problems that might arise during this festive season and this measure will be cancelled once the festive season comes to an end
“Frozen of mavros does not mean MMM has stopped operations or crashed rather the system has adopted this measure to avoid any mishaps. The support system are working on issues to enhance the effectiveness of the community.
“Also let’s note that contrary to what has been published by cheap bloggers, Am not the Admin of MMM but one of the top guiders of this great community. And non of us has access to the site, I woke up on Tuesday and saw the News on my PO like every other person,Chuddy Ugorji and wife during their wedding earlier this month
“The MMM website is been managed in Russia by their control and supervisory team .They are responsible for every decision made, like pairing of participants to provide help and get help, resolving issues on the platform etc.
“I have always been passionate about tutoring members and guiders about the ideology of MMM , the rules and the risk; I have encouraged members to provide help only with their SPARE MONEY and also get help at the end of 30 days. The reason members have to continue in this pattern of provide help and get help process is to ensure the sustainability of the system, because the platform is a peer to peer system ,members knows that they own the system and pay only to themselves, There is no CENTRAL ACCOUNT.
“Regarding getting help, every guider in the MMM community has a limit to withdrawal and I have never made withdrawals above my limit ,rather have always helped to ensure the growth of MMM Nigeria community.
“Instead I have given more to the community through charity works and teaching of the ideology of MMM. Bloggers who get paid for promoting rumour, when ignorant Nigerians click on their blogs , Google Ad sense pays them per click. Hence they seized this opportunity to enrich themselves even when most of them are participants and have taken more from the community ,many of them are involved in uploading Fake Pop’s and multiple accounts all in the bid to frustrate the programme of the community and that is part of what is been looked into and it would be stop so that we have a healthy and stronger MMM NIGERIA in 2017
“MMM founder is a Russian Sergey Mavrodi not a Philippines .i have never been to Philippines ,the stories about going to the Philippines are untrue. i stand for the true ideology of MMM which is anchored on providing and getting help willingly.

Man Beats Wife To Coma For Investing Children’s Fees In MMM In Calabar
A 45-year-old man identified as Mark Friday, has been arrested in Calabar, the Cross River State, for allegedly beating his wife to a coma for allegedly using the money meant for their children’s school fees to invest in the MMM Ponzi scheme.
According to Inside Calabar, Mr. Friday had given his wife, Ekamma, the sum of N280,000 to pay their three children’s fees but seeing a quick opportunity to make fast money, the wife invested all the money in MMM without telling her husband, hoping to pay up after making the extra money for herself.
But the bubble burst with the freezing of the accounts of the scheme some days ago. It also coincided with the school sending a letter to Mr. Friday that his children would not be allowed to write their exams if he failed to pay their fees which were to balance up the part payment he had earlier paid.
The report had it that when the surprised Mr. Friday asked his wife why she had not paid the money he gave her weeks earlier, she opened up and confessed that she invested the money in MMM.
This was said to have angered the husband so much that he locked the door to their apartment and descended on his wife, beating her to a pulp before neighbours could rescue her.
Inside Calabar reported that the beatings was too much and the husband has been arrested.

20-year-old Man Arrested For Killing Okada Man Over N50 Change
The Ogun state police command has arrested a 20-year-old Abdulrahman Muhammed, for killing a 25-year-old Okada rider Owechu Odeje, after he slit his throat.
According to Punch, the 25-year-old Owechu operated under the aegis of the Articulate Motorcyclists Owners and Riders Association of Nigeria, Iyana Iyesi branch, in the Ado- Odo Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State and learnt that Owechu was taking Muhammed from Ijaba junction to Ijaba Pipeline, a neighbouring community to Iyana Iyesi, when the latter reportedly killed him and fled with the motorcycle, leaving him in a pool of blood.
It was gathered that the suspect fled to Iju, another neighboring community, where he was eventually arrested by the police.
The deceased’s elder brother, Clement Odeje, said he was too sad to speak about the incident.
A relative, Emmanuel Omajowu, demanded that the suspect should face the full weight of the law, saying Owechu’s death had devastated his parents and the entire family.
He said:
“Around 10am last Tuesday, he was taking the Hausa man (Muhammed) from Ijaba junction to Ijaba Pipeline. The place is a developing area, and it is usually deserted. They were on the way when he suddenly brought out a knife and slit Owechu’s throat. The killer escaped with the motorcycle.
“Owechu’s death is a big blow to the family. He was friendly and generous. We want the police to prosecute the case diligently and let justice be done.”
A resident, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Okada riders had stopped Muhammed at Iyana Iyesi because they saw bloodstains on his clothes.
“He lied to them that he had an accident with a passenger and that he was going to a hospital in Iju to treat himself. That was why they allowed him to go. When the corpse of the motorcyclist was later found, a boy said he saw him with Muhammed.
“A leader of Hausa in the community called Muhammed on the telephone to wait at Iju, and the police went there to arrest him,”
However, Muhammed, who spoke in Hausa, told the police that argument over N50 change led to a scuffle between him and Owechu, during which he stabbed the victim.
He said:
“When I reached my destination, I gave him N200 and asked for N50 change. He said my fare was N200 and refused to give me change. As we were exchanging words, he slapped me. He removed the knife from my pocket, and we started struggling.
“I managed to collect it and stabbed him. I didn’t mean to kill him.”
The Ogun State Police Public Rations Officer, investigationASP Ambibola Oyeyemi, said the suspect had been transferred to the StInvestigationand Intelligence Department in Eleweran, Abeokuta, for investigation.
“As soon as the investigation is concluded, he will be charged to court,” he added.
