He said that Ikpeazu was from Abia South that had not tested governance since the creation of Abia State. Orji represented by his media aide, Don Norman Obinna, said that he obeyed the Abia Charter of Equity that provided for rotational governorship between the three senatorial zones in the state for fairness, adding that he believed in democracy and inclusive
government rather than private interest.

He thanked the Correspondents Chapel for honoring him and promised to identify with journalists for the support that gave to his administration while he was governor of Abia State.
Also, the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Martins Azubuike, described equity and fairness as quality of being fair, unbiased, just and making judgments that are free from discrimination and commended the Correspondent Chapel for honouring Senator T. A. Orji for enthroning peace, fairness and equity through the making of Ukwa Ngwa Governor a reality. [ads-post]

“We have equally been feeling the pulse of the populace at every point in time and can beat our chest to say that we know who is who and what is what as far as Abia State is concerned”.

It was based on this that “the chapel recognized Senator T. A. Orji as a man that has kept his words and stood for the enthronement of equity in Abia State hence the award of the Hero of equity. “By the honour, the chapel has indelibly underlined the need for total abolition of marginalization at asphyxiate”.
