See Why the North Appears to Dominate Nigeria
To understand why there seems to be a Northern domination of the Nigerian polity (as against a Hausa or Fulani domination, which is a myth), one has to read and understand the principle of unity found in Genesis 11:6.
“The LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined doing.”
The above verse of scripture is the bedrock of the seeming Northern dominance in Nigeria. You see, even if people are more intelligent and educated than their neighbours, they will nevertheless serve those neighbours if they are not united and the neighbour is united, because unity is greater than both education and intelligence.
To understand the Northern psyche, try to join several social media fora. In such fora, you will find that Southern Nigerians are very indiscipline in the way they use words to run down their leaders and people. Nothing is sacrosanct to them.
Southerners can and have insulted their political, traditional and spiritual leaders, using some of the foulest languages on earth. I know of young Southern Nigerians who have called former President Jonathan a ‘pig’ and Southern elders who have called his wife a ‘hippo,' and others who have used the most insulting words on the president of the Christian Association of Nigeria.
When we behave like this, we show ourselves as a pedestrian to our Northern brothers. We indicate that we are a people of a lower culture, because of no matter how educated you are if you cannot respect your own fathers (whether they deserve respect or not), then you are lower than an illiterate who respects his father.
In Exodus 20:12, God commanded us to honour our father and our mother. He did not say we should honour them because they are honourable or because they deserve respect. He said we should honour them because He as God commands it. And he attached a promise to that command – “Then you will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God is giving you.”
Northerners understand this principle. The principle is that you should honour your own father and mother, not your neighbour’s father and mother. They are honouring their fathers and their mothers and that is why God is ensuring that they “will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God is giving you.” That is why they are ruling and leading, and deservedly so!
And if you notice, the average Northerner will join you a Southerner to insult your leaders and fathers. If you want to insult ex-President Jonathan, they will join you. If you want to insult Pastor Oritsejafor or his successor, Pastor Ayokunle, they will join you. If you want to insult the Oba of Benin or the Ooni of Ife, they will join you. Even if you want to insult Southern leaders like Chief Olu Falae and Afenifere or Alex Ekwueme and Ohana’eze Nd’Igbo or even Chief E.K. Clark and the South-South People’s Assembly, they will join you.
However, the minute the matter shifts to Northern leaders or elders or traditional rulers, the Northerner will show the stuff he is made out of and will not join you in insulting his or her elders and institutions. It does not matter if that particular leader, elder or traditional ruler is more guilty of an offense than his Southern counterpart. As long as he is Northern, the average Northerner, commendably, has the discipline to respect his own.
I urge you, if you are a Southerner, to think back to all those Northerners who joined you in insulting and rubbishing the then President Goodluck Jonathan. Are they doing the same to President Buhari? Are they supporting you when you call attention to the president’s misdeeds?
Where are those Northerners who left the North to sit down with you in Ojota to dance to Pasuma Wonder as you demonstrated against Jonathan for removing the subsidy on petroleum products? Did you hear even a whisper from them when President Buhari did even what Jonathan did not do and increased fuel without increasing salary? (Jonathan increased salaries before increasing fuel price).
Or have you noticed that they are making excuses for the president? Are you seeing that the same persons who joined you in rubbishing Dr. Jonathan are calling on you to exercise patience with President Buhari?
What about when the Sultan of Sokoto defended Fulani herdsmen and asked the media not to criminalise them and said that criminals who kill people during fights for grazing grounds are to be differentiated from herdsmen, did your Northern neighbours pounce on him the way you pounced on Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor when he called on Christians to defend themselves against the radical Islamic sect of Boko Haram?
I remember young Southerners who called Pastor Oritsejafor every evil and foul name in the world when he said that. They were gleefully joined by their Northern neighbours. But now that the case has been reversed, have those who joined you to rubbish pastor Oritsejafor invited you to do same to the Sultan? Of course not!
You see, when you sell your own mother for a penny, you cannot expect your neighbour to price her for a pound. And when you neighbour sets the price of his mother at a pound, he will never sell her to you for a penny.
Those Southerners on Twitter and Facebook who were championing the downfall of then President Jonathan are now providing excuses to justify the downfall of our beloved naira from ₦225 to a dollar that Jonathan left it to ₦470 to a dollar today.
As vile as you and I down south consider the late General Sani Abacha to be, he is still beloved up North so much so that more monuments and facilities are named after him in the North than are named after any other Northerner, with the arguable exception of the late Murtala Mohammed.
This is a man of whom it has been established beyond every reasonable doubt that he was a thief, and not just a thief but a blatant one, of whose loot hundreds of millions of dollars of are still being repatriated to Nigeria from foreign countries today. Yet, when our corruption hating President Muhammadu Buhari went to pay homage to him on the tenth anniversary of his death, he said and I quote “Abacha never stole”!
Yet today, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will arrest those who served in the previous administration without providing any evidence, Southerners will deride and convict these people simply because an EFCC “source” leaked to the press that they are guilty!
So, to all those who called Jonathan, who gave us the third fastest growing economy in the world a ‘pig’, you can now see that your neighbours who laughed with you when you did that know in their heart that you are the real ‘pig’ because they will never trust a man like you who insults his own mother and father to please his friend with any type of power.
They may not like me, but I assure you, if push comes to shove, they will prefer me and others like me because they know that a man who respects his father and mother is a man who understands power!
And that, my friend, is the reason for the seeming political dominance of Northern Nigeria over Southern Nigeria. They are united and because of their unity, “nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.”

Man Pours Hot Water On Wife’s Private Part - His Reason Will Shock You
According to Standard Media, a 30-year-old mother of two from Kianamu Village in Embu County, Kenya, is nursing serious burns on her thighs and private parts after her husband poured hot water on her.
Catherine Wakere was taken to Siakago Level Four Hospital last Wednesday, two weeks after the attack. Her upper right thigh and her private parts had started developing infections when she was taken to the hospital.
According to the hospital’s Nursing Officer Secinta Nyaga, the woman was only taken to hospital when a neighbour learnt of the cruel assault. Ms. Wakere said her husband, Charles Njiru, 36, had without any provocation, poured boiling water on her. Around 11 am on that fateful day, she was heating water for him when he suddenly grabbed a bowl, scooped the water and threw it on her thighs and private parts.
“He just scooped water that was boiling and splashed it on my thighs. He had aimed at my private parts, which were partly scalded,” she said.
Ms. Nyaga said the wound had deteriorated due to the lengthy stay without medication, but her condition has since improved.
“Hers is a case of gender violence, which we reported to the police before treating her. The wound was in a very bad state since it appeared to have stayed for two weeks without being treated. If it was a fresh would it would have healed. She is now in a stable condition.” she said.
Ms. Wakere’s left thigh also bears another scar of a healed burn injury while she has two broken fingers, all said to have been inflicted by the husband. She had also told doctors that her fingers broke when she fell.
The hospital has also alerted the Children’s Department to take care of the victim’s children, a two-year-old girl, and a boy, seven. Her mother, Daisy Muthoni, who is looking after her in the hospital, said she was afraid of visiting her daughter’s home due to the cruelty of her husband.
News of the assault caused an uproar among women leaders in Embu, with county assembly gender committee chairperson Peninah Mutua calling on police to crack down on perpetrators of gender violence. Mbeere North Assistant County Commissioner, Benjamin Birech said the man has been arrested and will be taken to court once his wife files an official complaint. He said the woman had reported being repeatedly beaten up and sexually harassed by the man.
“We will charge him with causing grievous harm. She says that the man beats her regularly. He is reported to be a habitual user of bhang and miraa,” said Mr. Birech, adding that the man could have been under the influence of drugs when he poured hot water on his wife.”
Herbalist Reveals How Much He Bought Human Heads
Three persons in possession of two human skulls have been arrested at a hideout in Ogbomoso by policemen from the Oyo State Police Command.
The state Commissioner of Police, Samuel Adegbuyi, said the arrest was made after the police received information from members of the public, who had raised the alarm that the suspects were dealing in human parts.
One of the skulls was discovered to have had what looked like a deep machete cut at its temple, leaving the police to suspect that the person the head belonged to might have been gruesomely killed.
Ramoni Akeem, 41, Azeez Ojelade, 36, and Salimon Salami, 40, were the suspects arrested by the police.
Akeem said he paid N10, 000 for the skulls and that Salami was the vendor.
Akeem said,
“I am a herbalist and I heal people with herbs. I have never used body parts for rituals. One day, a friend came to me and said his friend discovered two corpses on a land where he had wanted to cut trees. He asked if I knew what body parts could be used for. I told him that I did not know anything about charms prepared with body parts.
“One of our friends, Saheed Ifa, who is a senior herbalist, heard about it and said he could make use of the skulls to prepare charms. When the skulls were produced, the man who brought them demanded for N10, 000. I paid him in four instalments. But that is all I know about the skulls. Ifa has travelled to Lagos. I don’t know where he lives in Lagos.”
Salami, who claimed to have discovered the corpses, denied any wrongdoing.
He said,
“I was asked to cut some trees on a large piece of land but when I got there, I discovered two corpses and I told a friend that I was afraid to work on the land because someone killed two people there. He said I should continue with my work while he looked for what to do with the corpses. When he got a buyer, he contacted me and I went back to the bush and dismembered the heads from the bodies,” he said.

I Made You A Billionaire, Obasanjo Replies Folorunsho Alakija
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said on Saturday in Lagos that Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, Africa’s richest woman by Forbes reckoning, was among the 25 billionaires he made during his tenure as President. Obasanjo stated this at the 2016 Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Forum.
The former president was reacting to an allegation by Alakija at the event, that the Obasanjo administration frustrated her effort when she ventured into the oil business.
Alakija, who spoke before Obasanjo, alleged that his government illegally took an oil block allocated to her company after her family had invested all its savings to strike oil in commercial
quantity.
“This oil block is at 5000 feet depth of water and was extremely difficult to explore. It took 15 years from the time that we were awarded the license in 1993 till 2008 when we struck the first oil “When this event happened, 60 percent out of our 60 per cent equity in the business, was forcefully taken from us by the government of the day without due process.
We had to fight back by going to court to seek redress, and it took another 12 years for justice to be served in our favor. In all those years it was my trust in God, my perseverance and the support of my family that got me going,” she said.
She used her experiences to charge the 2000 budding entrepreneurs at the event to be dogged, determined and not to give up in the face of challenges.
When Obasanjo spoke, the former president seized the opportunity to reply to the allegation by Alakija.
“There is a saying in my part of the world that when a proverb touches you, and you failed to reply, then you are a coward,” he said.
Obasanjo explained that the action of the government then was in line with the Mining Act, which regulates oil prospection and exploration.
“For you to come here and say that, for no cause whatsoever, you were denied what was rightfully yours, is not fair. “I do not know you from Adam, and there is no reason I would have denied you what rightfully belonged to you. “So, you have struggled, and you have struck oil. God bless your heart.
“My delight is to be able to create Nigerian billionaire, and I always say it that my aim, when I was in government was to create 50 Nigerian billionaires.
“Unfortunately I failed. I created only 25 and Madam; you are one of them,” he said.
Obasanjo hailed the vision of Mr. Tony Elumelu for helping to build African young entrepreneurs with his resources. He also urged the government to create a conducive environment for people to move businesses into the country.

Exposed! Health Risks Of Oral Sex- This Will Help You
The human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common s*xually transmitted infection (STI). HPV is a different virus than HIV and HSV (herpes).
HPV is so common that nearly all sexually-active men and women get it at some point in their lives.
There are over 100 strains of HPV, but only about 15 are known as harmful HPV types.
It’s important to note that detecting the HPV virus in a sample of people who have oral cancer, doesn’t mean that HPV-caused cancer.
Rather, the virus becomes part of the genetic material of the cancer cells, which triggers them to grow.
In most cases, HPV goes away on its own and does not cause any health problems. But when HPV does not go away, it can cause health problems like genital warts and cancer.
Typically, HPV found in the mouth is sexually transmitted, meaning oral sex is the most common way of contracting the disease.
It’s not yet determined how common HPV infection in the mouth is.
A recent report released by the Canadian Cancer Society and Public Health Agency of Canda found that the rate of HPV mouth and throat cancers in males are increasing.
A 2011 study in the Journal of Clinical Oncology found that the proportion of oral cancers related to HPV increased from 16.3 percent to 71.7 percent between 1984 and 2004.
Meanwhile, risk factors for oral cancers have been linked to sexual behaviour, such as ever having oral sex, having oral sex with four or more people in your lifetime, and among men, first having sex at an earlier age (under 18).
There is no absolute way to determine which persons – who have HPV – will develop cancer or other health problems.
“In most cases, the virus goes away, and it does not lead to any health problems. There is no certain way to know which people infected with HPV will go on to develop cancer,” says the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Although, when cancer does occur and it’s detected early, patients have an 80 to 90 percent survival rate.
The CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics recommend that both boys and girls get the HPV vaccine between the ages of 11 and 12.
The vaccine is most effective if it’s administered before a child becomes sexually active.

If I Were A Supreme Court judge, I Would’ve Ordered Amaechi’s Arrest – APC Leader
An All Progressive Congress stalwart has said if he was in the position of a supreme court judge, he would have arrested Amaechi for his role in the bribery scandal involving judges.
A former Ekiti state Governor and Deputy National Chairman (South) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Segun Oni has said he would have ordered the arrest of former Rivers state governor now Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi if he was a supreme court judge.
He said this following accusations and counter-accusation against Amaechi.

“I am not in the position to defend Amaechi, but I feel very very sad. I am very sad that a justice of the Supreme Court could come up much later to say somebody attempted to bribe him. If I am a justice of the Supreme Court, that person will not spend another week before he is arrested.
“So, because it is a crime, if you see somebody committing a crime and you keep quiet, and now you are talking about it, do you want people to take you seriously? It’s like somebody saying I saw somebody committed rape last year and I didn’t do anything about it. I don’t think that sounds wise. I am not exonerating anybody, and there can be an investigation.” Oni said.Nigerians have expressed surprise how to justices of the supreme court could mistakenly name the same man in a bribe scandal and yet he continues to deny it even as the agencies that should investigate the matter have not considered arresting Amaechi since the shocking revelation.

But from the moment I made public this intention; I have been under siege of threats by my blackmailers and traducers.”

How Obanikoro Transported N1.2bn Cash To Fayose – Zenith Bank
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Thursday called its first prosecution witness before a Federal High Court in Abuja in the trial of an aide of Governor Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State, Mr. Abiodun Agbele, who is being prosecuted for money laundering charges.
The first prosecution witness, Oluseye Alade, who is an official of Zenith Bank Plc, gave a breakdown of how the sum of N1.2bn allegedly airlifted to Akure by a former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro on June 17, 2016, was distributed by Agbele.
He did not disclose where the aircraft flew from.
But he said he was informed by a colleague of his in Ibadan to wait for the arrival of the aircraft.
The EFCC had on August 3, 2016 aarraigned Agbele before Justice Nnamdi Dimgba of the Federal High on 11 counts of money laundering involving about N4,685,723,000,000.
The money was allegedly taken by former National Security Adviser from the account of the office of the NSA domicile in the Central Bank of Nigeria.
The prosecution alleged that on June 17, 2014, Agbele, Obanikoro and other suspects (said to be at large), took N1,219,000,000 from the total N4,685,723,000,000, when they “reasonably ought to have known” that the money was part of proceeds of Dasuki’s unlawful activity.”
Led in evidence by the prosecuting counsel, Mr. Wahab Shittu, the witness who is the Branch Head of the Zenith Bank in Akure gave details of how the N1.2bn was disbursed on the instruction of Agbele.
He said the money was airlifted to Akure by Obanikoro and others in two batches.
He said the money was moved from the airport to the bank by a bullion van on the two occasions of the arrival of the aircraft.”
He said, “I first met Agbele on June 17, 2014. On that day, my zonal head, Abiodun Oshode, informed me that he recieved a message from Lawrence Akande, the Zonal Head of Oyo State Branch of Zenith Bank that a customer will be coming to the bank from the airport with cash. He said that I should arrange for our bullion van to be taken to the airport to convey the cash when it arrives.
“After about an hour, Oshode walked to me that the customer is in the bank and I followed him to his office where he introduced Mr. Abiodun Agbele to me as the customer.
“Agbele told me that they had security details and that I should not bother about policemen since they had enough. That was how I, my Zonal Head, the bullion van driver, Agbele and his team drove to the airport.
“When we got to the airport, we waited for some minutes before the aircraft arrived. When the aircraft offloaded its passengers, one of them appeared to me to be Senator Musliu Obanikoro and the other one appeared to be his ADC, Adewale.
“Agbele walked up to them and had a discussion with them. Thereafter, he signalled me to bring the van. Bags loaded with cash were evacuated into the van and Obanikoro’s ADC, I and Agbele drove back to the bank.
“When we got to the bank, we bundle-counted the cash and it was N724,500,000. Agbele told us that more money was still coming and then, Obanikoro’s ADC left for the airport immediately.
“In the evening, all of us left for the airport a second time. After the passengers disembarked, we offloaded the cash bags into our bullion van and drove back to the bank to ascertain how much the cash was.
“The second tranche was N494,990,000, bringing the total about N1.219, 490,000
“We headed straight to our zonal head office where instructions were given by Agbele on how the funds were to be credited to various accounts.
“However, because of the amount involved, we needed to detail-count before crediting the accounts the next day. All these are recorded in the statements I volunteered to the EFCC.”
The four statements earlier made by the witness to the EFCC were tendered by the prosecuting counsel and admitted by the court as exhibits.

MMM-Nigeria Secret Has Been EXPOSED – You Need To Read This
Saw this article on Guardian newspapers…Read, its very interesting;
With the current high rate of unemployment, job losses and pressing financial needs in the country, it is not surprising that the youth are embracing questionable get rich quick schemes and opportunities.
For instance, the number of Nigerians that now patronize the popular lottery games is on the increase. Some youths are also deeply involved in sport betting through such platforms as Nairabet, Merrybet and Bet9ja, among others.
It is against this backdrop that the MMM Federal Republic of Nigeria made a grand entrance into the Nigerian investment market in 2016. MMM stands for Mavrodi Mondial Moneybox and takes its name from its founders, Sergei Panteleevich Mavrodi, Vyacheslav Mavrodi, and Olga Melnikova.
The outfit was established in 1989 by these three Russian nationals, and promises its clients 30 per cent return on investment (ROI) for money put into the system for 30 days. The scheme prides itself as a mutual aid fund through which recruited members contribute money to assist others.
The founders claimed they are not into banking, online business, investment company or a multi level marketing (MLM) program. The scheme structure, however, indicates otherwise. For instance, members can have multi-level structures under them and receive bonus from each donation of every participant in their structures.
The company has been able to persuade many Nigerians to buy into its idea. Many Nigerian big online Business coaches and entrepreneurs with vast subscriber base are encouraging their followers to key in to the MMM opportunity. Thus, some Nigerians have invested millions of Naira into this scheme and are enjoying their newfound wealth.
This reporter has seen screenshots of money many claimed to have earned from the scheme. According to one such subscriber, Babajide Abayomi, MMM ensures a level playing ground for all. And with it, people don’t have to be under the yoke of the banking system, which demands that huge interest be paid on loans. He said MMM is real and safe.
However, the question some have asked is: How long would it take to sustain the profits? Many still remember vividly the mad days of the Wonder banks in the early 2000s. Then, many lost their hard-earned money to the likes of Pennywise and such other scammers.
To really grasp the risk involved in investing in this type of scheme, a study of the founders’ backgrounds provides good insights into the viability of their outfit. According to Wikileak, the online information library, МММ was a Russian company that perpetrated one of the world’s largest Ponzi schemes in the 1990s.
By different estimates, between five and 40 million people lost up to $10b. The website said the exact figures of money lost are not known, even to the founders. The site described Sergie Mavrodi as a Russian criminal and a former deputy of the State Duma in Russia. According to it, he is the founder of the МММ series of pyramid schemes. Wikileak reported that in 2007, Mavrodi was found guilty in a Russian court of defrauding 10,000 investors out of 110m rubles ($4.3m).
Wikileak reported: “In January 2011, Mavrodi launched another pyramid scheme called MMM-2011, asking investors to buy so-called Mavro currency units. He frankly described it as a pyramid, adding, “It is a Unclad scheme, nothing more … People interact with each other and give each other money. For no reason!” Mavrodi said his goal for launching MMM-2011 is to destroy the current financial system, which he considers unfair, and form something new to take its place.
“In 2011 he launched a similar scheme in India, called MMM India, again stating clearly that the vehicle is a pyramid. He has also launched MMM in China. He was reported to be trying to expand his operations into Western Europe, Canada, and Latin America.
“In 2015, MMM began operating in South Africa with the same business model as MMM-2011, claiming a “30 percent per month” returns through a “social financial network.”
“The group was identified as a possible pyramid scheme by the National Consumer Commission and accounts of clients were later frozen by Capitec Bank.”
In January 2016, the Chinese government banned MMM on the ground that it is a pyramid scheme, (Ponzi scheme), and not registered in the country. Earlier this year, the scheme crashed in South Africa. MMM Global only gave South Africans the bad news with a post on its website saying: “We regret to inform you that we have to close down the Republic of Bitcoin.
It was an experiment, and, unfortunately, it failed. We turned out not to be able to pay 100 percent per month.” Also recently, the scheme collapsed in Zimbabwe. One of the victims, Mrs. Rosemary Mawonde was quoted by Breaking Times, saying: “We never thought the scheme would end this way, as we believed that by using EcoCash to do the transactions, things were in order.
I am surprised that EcoCash is also distancing itself from the scheme and it is clear that I will never recover the $300 that I invested.” What then is a Ponzi scheme? The scheme (also a Ponzi game or a Ponzi) is an investment operation, where the operator, an individual or organisation pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned through legitimate investments.
Operators of Ponzi schemes usually entice new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent. Initially, the promoter would pay out high returns to attract more investors, and to lure current investors into putting in additional money. Other investors would begin to participate, leading to a cascade effect. The “return” to the initial investors is paid out of the investments of new entrants, and not out of profits.
Often, the high returns encourage investors to leave their money in the scheme, with the result that the promoter does not have to pay out very much to investors; he simply has to send them statements showing how much they have earned. This maintains a semblance that the scheme is an investment with high returns.
The Securities and Exchange Commission has warned the public about the activities of the scheme on August 30 of this year. According to its website, SEC said: “The attention of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Nigeria (SEC) has been drawn to the activities of an online investment scheme, tagged ‘MMM Federal Republic of Nigeria (nigeria.). The platform has embarked on an aggressive online media campaign to lure the investing public to participate in what it called “mutual aid financial network” with a monthly investment return of 30 percent.
“The Commission hereby notifies the investing public that the operation of this investment scheme has no tangible business model, hence it’s a Ponzi Scheme, where returns are paid from other people’s invested sum. Also, the Commission does not register its operation.
“The general public is hereby advised to distance itself from this online scheme. Please note that anyone that subscribe to this illegal activity does so at his/her own risk.”
Managing Partner, Two-Edge Partners Global Limited, Olajide Alex-Oni said such scheme is usually targeted at the extremely poor, greedy and desperate people of the society.
He said: “The get rich quick scheme usually comes out looking so attractive to the populace, but like what is, it is robbing Peter to pay Paul!
“When a company encourages existing investors to invite other potential investors by rewarding them with money from these new comers, then what do you call that? Such a model is not sustainable and is a highly risky investment, because once the flow of investors and their funds stop flowing into the scheme, the investors will most definitely suffer unimaginable losses.”
Speaking on MMM operations, he said a number of countries around the world have banned this scheme and Nigeria should equally do the same. He said since SEC has warned Nigerians on the activity of this group, it is, therefore, illegal to invest in them, because their model is a typical pyramid scheme.
He explained that the scheme was not licensed to operate in Nigeria, noting that its operations are online based, which can crash or get closed down unannounced. He said it’s designed to attract huge traffic and promises unconventional high returns on investment.
Speaking further, Alex-Oni warned: “People have to be careful of such schemes, because they claim to be foreign investor driven with amazing success stories, thus the attraction for the ignorant. The ignorant in this case are usually aware of the risk involved, but the greed in them let them take such risk with the hope to exit before the scheme crashes.
“It is also quite sad that in some extreme cases, some investors actually commit their entire life savings into these kinds of ponzi schemes. People should learn to get creative and innovative through hard work and smart thinking and start creating values and ideas that money will chase. That way, you may start small, but you will think big to grow big the proper way. A warning is enough for the wise.”
See How APC Governors Tackled Pres. Buhari Yesterday During Meeting
Yesterday, state governors elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress on Monday expressed their displeasure on how they were being sidelined in the choice of those being given federal appointments in their states by President Muhammadu Buhari.
The governors protested to Buhari and Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo at a meeting they had at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
A source, who spoke with Punch correspondent on condition of anonymity, said the larger meeting was only devoted to encouraging the President on the 21 Chibok girls recently released by Boko Haram, agriculture, the ongoing anti-corruption war and the forthcoming governorship election in Ondo State.
The source stated that the larger meeting, which also had in attendance political appointees like the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, and some presidential aides, lasted for a few minutes.
“During the larger meeting, the governors said they would like six of them to meet with the President and the Vice-President alone, but they did not disclose the agenda of the meeting then,” the source added.
At the second meeting, our correspondent learned, the governors expressed their displeasure with the way they were being sidelined while deciding who would benefit from federal appointments in their states.
The source gave the names of the six governors, who attended the meeting with the President and Vice-President as Rochas Okorocha (Imo); Adams Oshiomhole (Edo); Abdulaziz Yari (Zamfara); Simon Long (Plateau); Ibikunle Amosun (Ogun) and Nasir el-Rufai (Kaduna).
“The meeting was held right inside the President’s office. Presidential aides, including the SGF, were not part of that meeting. It was just between the President and the Vice-President on the one hand and the six governors on the other hand.
“They told the President clearly that they wanted to discuss issues of national importance with him and that the six governors would represent them,” .
The Plateau State Governor, Lalong, confirmed this development to State House correspondents at the end of the meeting.
Lalung said the President had asked those state governors, who had complaints to put them in writing while promising to look into them.
“So, all the states that have complaints are going to put them into writing, and the President promised that he is going to look into it,” he said.
